Unicommerce, a SaaS platform that supports e-commerce, has announced its entry into the B2B segment with the launch of a new suite of solutions that aims to enhance the efficiency and speed of B2B operations.
B2B order processing differs significantly from B2C orders due to larger volumes, complex pricing, and specific operational requirements. Traditionally, B2B operations rely on a manual-intensive process of purchase order handling, inventory allocation, picking, packing and freight handling due to the absence or complexity of technology solutions suited to their operating needs. This makes the B2B operations slow, error-prone and reactive, causing delays in the entire fulfilment pipeline.
Unicommerce claims that its B2B suite is designed to help brands and businesses handle the B2B order movements with the speed and precision of e-commerce.
As part of its B2B suite, Unicommerce has rolled out a Unified B2B Order Management System (OMS) that is said to automate AI-Powered Purchase Order (PO) creation via orders received in PDF, image, or Excel format, thus speeding up operations. The OMS supposedly can handle up to 1,000+ SKUs per order while also tracking expiry dates for the inventory and supports real-time edits, prioritisation of PO for key customers, and auto-verification to cut errors.
Integrated with a Bulk-optimised Warehouse Management System (WMS), it seeks to enable re-routing of POs between warehouses for quicker dispatch, supports inventory reservation by creating digital inventory pools for priority dispatches, enables dynamic stock re-allocation, box-in-box-out processes for high-volume handling, scan-based packing and auto return mapping - making bulk fulfilment smoother and more accurate.
The system claims to also auto-generate GST e-Invoices and eWay Bills, capture B2B POs from quick-commerce platforms, assign shipments to carriers, support customised pricing and discounting and integrates with ERP for real-time sync, thus eliminating manual reconciliation of books.

In a two-month pilot run, Unicommerce supposedly processed over 5 million B2B order items, showcasing 5X faster fulfilment of B2B orders, 99%+ order accuracy and automated generation of 100% compliant GST e-invoices. Unicommerce’s claims that its B2B solutions are already being adopted by e-commerce brands that sell across marketplaces, modern trade stores, and major quick commerce platforms, wherein reduced costs, led to faster restocks and fewer delivery errors are seen.
"Having built a strong foundation through our solutions that enhance B2C operations, Unicommerce’s foray into the B2B segment marks a significant step in our journey to become a unified technology platform for end-to-end e-commerce and retail operations," said Kapil Makhija, MD & CEO of Unicommerce. "Our new B2B suite reflects our continued commitment to leveraging technology to serve our customers in a deeper and expanded way. With this launch, we’re empowering businesses to manage their B2B & B2C operations with greater integration, control, and efficiency", he added.
