The move coincides with a major format shift for the trade fairs, which will be held annually in both Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru starting April 2026.
"With Rohit Sharma as our brand ambassador, we’re taking electronica India and productronica India beyond business"
Cricketer Rohit Sharma will serve as the brand ambassador for electronica India and productronica India for their 2025 and 2026 editions, Messe Muenchen India announced. The move coincides with a major format shift for the trade fairs, which will be held annually in both Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru starting April 2026.
As per the company, this is the first time the electronics manufacturing trade shows are associating with a public figure. Messe Muenchen India said the partnership aims to expand the events’ reach among startups, young professionals, and new entrants to the sector.
“India’s electronics industry is scaling at speed, and we’re evolving with it—creating platforms that reflect this momentum and inspire the next generation. With Rohit Sharma as our brand ambassador, we’re taking electronica India and productronica India beyond business—into the heart of India’s growth story,” said Bhupinder Singh, President IMEA, Messe München and CEO, Messe Muenchen India.
The 2025 Bengaluru edition will feature over 800 exhibitors, making it the largest edition yet. Key participants include companies such as Samsung, Syrma SGS, VVDN, Dixon Technologies, and others in the electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
The decision to shift to a dual-location, annual format follows feedback from manufacturers, suppliers, and procurement professionals who cited the need for shorter sourcing cycles and more regular engagement. According to Messe Muenchen India, over 70% of surveyed buyers supported the new structure.
Industry associations such as ELCINA, FICCI, and ICEA have endorsed the change, stating that the move could improve regional access, speed up industry interaction, and support the sector’s contribution to India’s manufacturing goals.
From 2026, the fairs will alternate between Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru, offering consistent face-to-face platforms in both North and South India.
In addition to product showcases, the fairs will continue to focus on investment facilitation, policy dialogue, and technology partnerships. Sharma’s involvement is expected to bring additional visibility to the platform, particularly among those shaping the future of the sector.
