Fintech startup Gullak Money has appointed Nikhil Rao as a brand advisor, aiming to strengthen its consumer branding and market positioning as it scales operations in the digital gold savings space.

With over two decades of experience, Rao has played a pivotal role in shaping some of India’s most memorable brand campaigns. His past work includes widely recognised campaigns such as Cadbury’s “Shubh Aarambh,” 5 Star’s “Ramesh-Suresh,” Snickers’ collaboration with Rohit Shetty, and Boomer’s catchy “Boom Boom Boomer.”
Currently, the Chief Marketing Officer at Mars Wrigley India, Rao, leads brand and digital initiatives for names like Snickers, Galaxy, Orbit, and Boomer. He previously held senior roles at Cadbury and Mondelez Southeast Asia, where he helped launch products like Dairy Milk Silk and Bournville, and contributed to the global refresh of Cadbury Dairy Milk.
As a brand advisor, Rao will work closely with Gullak’s founding team to refine the company’s brand vision, develop deeper consumer engagement, and craft a differentiated voice in India’s growing fintech landscape. His input is expected to influence key areas such as product positioning, storytelling, and go-to-market strategies.
