Instamart has announced it will deliver Reliance Jio’s budget mobile phones — JioBharat V4 and JioPhone Prima 2 — in under 10 minutes across 95 cities. The move marks the entry of mobile phones into the quick delivery format, which until now has largely been limited to groceries and household essentials.
The collaboration brings two low-cost 4G feature phones to Instamart’s platform:
JioBharat V4, priced at ₹799, offers basic internet access, UPI payments via JioPay, and over 455 live TV channels via JioTV, among other features.
JioPhone Prima 2, priced at ₹2,799, offers additional features including YouTube, Facebook, Google Voice Assistant, and runs on a Snapdragon processor with a 2000 mAh battery and 512MB RAM.
Sunil Dutt, President, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, described the partnership as a step towards expanding digital accessibility. “By making our popular JioBharat and Prima phones available for instant delivery across 95 cities, we are ensuring that the power of the internet and digital connectivity reaches our users within minutes,” he said. “It’s about bringing the digital revolution directly to every doorstep, faster than ever before.”
Hari Kumar G, Chief Business Officer at Instamart, said the tie-up reflects a shift in how quick commerce is evolving in India. “This partnership marks a significant step in making essential technology more accessible than ever. We’re not just offering convenience; we’re partnering to bring affordable connectivity closer to millions,” he said.
The JioBharat V4 comes bundled with a ₹123 monthly plan that includes unlimited voice calling and 14GB of data. Both phones support UPI payments, regional language interfaces, and offer digital services such as HD calling and media streaming.
The development comes at a time when quick commerce platforms are looking to diversify their offerings beyond groceries and household staples. Instamart currently operates in over 125 cities.
