Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has onboarded Subhojit Roy as the new Vice President of Ad Sales. In his new role, Roy will steer the network’s advertising revenue strategy across its broadcast and digital platforms, including SonyLIV and its portfolio of popular TV channels.
Roy brings with him nearly two decades of experience across India’s top media houses. Before joining SPNI, he served as VP – Sales & Strategy at TV Today. His career also spans leadership roles at ABP Network, Viacom18, Zee Studios, Reliance Broadcast Network, and TV Today Network. He began his professional journey in 2007 with IFB Industries and holds an MBA in Marketing from ICFAI University.
His entry into SPNI can be viewed as a strategic move to enhance advertising collaboration between traditional and digital sales, while also unlocking newer monetisation opportunities across the network’s entertainment and sports properties.
SPNI also announced that Sandeep Mehrotra, Head of Ad Sales - Network Channels, will be transitioning out of his role due to personal reasons. Sandeep played a key role in shaping SPNI’s sales strategy, driving growth, and fostering long-term partnerships.
Sandeep Mehrotra, Head of Ad Sales - Network Channels, said, “After careful consideration, I’ve decided to step down due to personal reasons. It has been a rewarding journey building a strong team, achieving key milestones, and fostering lasting industry relationships. I’m grateful to have contributed to SPNI’s growth and to be part of a culture driven by ambition, collaboration, and integrity.”
