Meta AI Introduces ‘Imagine Me’ to Create Personalised AI Images in Chats

‘Imagine Me’ is a new AI-powered feature by Meta AI that enables users to generate personalised images of themselves directly within chats. By simply messaging Meta AI with a prompt like “imagine me as a 90s rockstar” or “imagine me as a comic book hero,” users can receive a unique AI-generated image based on their appearance and the scenario described.

To use Imagine Me, users can open Instagram DMs, Messenger, or WhatsApp chats and start a conversation with @Meta AI, either in personal or group chats. They can then send a prompt beginning with “Imagine me as...”. First-time users will be prompted to upload a few setup photos to help Meta AI create more accurate and customised visuals.

Once the photos are uploaded, tapping ‘Generate’ will produce an AI-powered image tailored to the user’s appearance and the prompt. Users can also write prompts like “Imagine me on the moon,” “in a Renaissance painting,” or “wearing futuristic fashion.” Meta AI uses the uploaded photos to analyse facial features and deliver a personalised result.

Users have full control over their setup photos and preferences; they can update, delete, or retake them anytime in Meta AI settings. The feature can also be turned off if desired.
